Present for childminder

We have a truly wonderful childminder, and want to get her something lovely for Christmas. Any suggestions? We've considered chocolates, champagne, hampers, afternoon tea, but they're not quite right. I think something edible or an experience, so it doesn't clutter up her house. Thank you!

Tickets to a show?

Our normally got a bottle of wine and chocolates for the rest of the family (two teens when DD was with her).

In addition a voucher for her favourite running shop as she compensated the stress by training for marathons.

Thank you for the replies. I wasn't sure about a show or anything that covid might put a dampener on. Perhaps bottle and chocs it'll have to be, but we always get her this and I'm sure so does everyone else!

How about M&S or Waitrose vouchers?

rottiemum88 · 22/11/2020 20:51

Not quite the same as it's a nursery rather than a childminder but we bought DS's key worker an Emma Bridgewater mug and some posh hot chocolate.

Good quality hand cream, I assume she is constantly washing her hands! A nice plant for her home. A voucher for a manicure, or pedicure. Whenever that reopens.

If she drinks, a nice bottle of gin from M&S and good quality tonic. It lasts longer than a bottle of wine!

I've gone for a family friendly hamper for mine this year (it does include wine!!) But the nibbles are all stuff pretty much everyone would enjoy, rather than random chutneys etc.
I used to do smellies/wine/choc plus gifts for her children ..so did a one size fits all gift this year!

How about a beauty voucher for a pedi or facial? Chocs and wine sounds impersonal.
