Register walk-in covid test

Member of our household had a covid test today at a walk in centre - was given a reciept with a barcode and told to register the test. Only reference online is to registering home-test kits - anyone got any clue where/how to register a walk-in test reciept card??

That's odd. I had a drive through one on Friday. I gave them my test and they scanned it and my qr code (on the email when I booked the test) and that was it. Not had the results yet and have been thinking if I was meant to do something or should have received anything else.

Hmm...we didn't book this one, maybe we should book it retrospectively??

Managed to do it over the phone. - though the person on the other end told me my other children could attend school until the results came in?! I'd be delighted if this were true, but it isn't is it?!?

If someone in the household has symptoms (if they don’t then they wouldn’t need the test in the first place) then EVERYONE isolates unless a negative result is received. No way should your other children attend school. You should tell the school that they are isolating due to symptoms in the household and they will be given a code that doesn’t affect their overall attendance figure.

Yeah, that's what I thought and what we've been doing. I just can't quite believe that someone at the main test call centre would advise us otherwise!! Shock
