If your name is that of a word...

My first name and surname are both nouns. My first name is a flower and my surname an animal. Example Lily Fox (it's not those).

People tend to buy me presents for my birthday/Christmas of lily or fox related items.

Does this happen to you?

My last name is that of an item of clothing but I can’t say I’ve ever received said item as a gift.

My first name is a mythical fairy-like creature but my surname now makes me sound like a pornstar HmmGrin

my first name is an animal my surname is an insult (think Robin Dunce) and its never really effected gifts I recieved

I like the animal so wouldnt be offended at all but its just not something people do.

However my birthday falls on a celebration day (think Xmas, New year, Valentines, Halloween) so I regularly get random 'theme' crap for my birthday that has nothing to do with me as a person but was clearly just in the sale for that time of year.

So should everyone with the name Smith receive metalworking gifts?
I've ever heard of this OP. It's a revelation! I will correct my gift selections henceforth !
I have an extended family of Shepherds: they're cousins so we don't usually exchange gifts but if I get to buy sheep, crooks and shears everything could change! 😀.

Mine’s a word, but an adjective. I am often told I’m like my name. I have seen one item with the same name but it was expensive, niche and not very functional. I haven’t received one of those - I doubt many people know it exists on the market.

Foxes and lilies are cute! I guess there are abundant gifts in the flora / fauna section for you not to get too many duplicates?
