I'm usually careful with dodgy emails etc but I just almost fell for a scam. I got a text saying:
PayPal: For your protection, we've limited your account due to potential unusual activity. please visit ... for next steps
and the link was pay-pal-id2386.net
As I had recently sent money to someone via Paypal, I clicked on the link, which took me to a site with the paypal logo and asked for my name, address, postcode then card details. I got as far as inputting my card number and expiry, then hesitated before typing in the security number, suddenly thinking, what if this is a scam, then they'd be able to empty my bank account.
I went to my emails - no email from Paypal. Googled it and of course it is a phishing scam.
