not sure this is appropriate for chat Blush

I've only ever had thrush once, at the start of lockdown when I had 3x antibiotics for a tooth infection. It was pretty obvious that's what it was - used a pessary and cream and it disappeared

I've had itching on and off for a couple of weeks, a slight cloudy discharge and a faint odour.

Would struggle to get time off for a doctors appointment even if I could get one (and I've just started a 2 week isolation)

Could I use a thrush treatment and see if that shifts it? I'm 99.999% sure it's not an sti. Been with dp for years, no signs of an affair and we walk at the same place / haven't been anywhere for months.

Yes you can use the cream but if you're still getting discharge and it does turn out to be thrush, that'll still need treating.

Blimey a couple of weeks. Why not sort it sooner?

You can buy a self test kit to confirm whether it is thrush or BV. It's called Canestest I think.

The cream can be an irritant. Take the tablet and see what happens.

Yes. I would do as you suggest try it and if it doesn't work try something else!

It comes and goes, I've never had problems before bar the antibiotics thing, I didn't really know what to do ... a whole host of reasons.

Mainly though because I work an hour from our doctors and I've been stupidly busy and now I'm stuck indoors for 2 weeks...

Can you first try a homemade version, i don't know like live yoghurt or cranberry or something like that? This may be wildly out of date advice though Blush.

You don’t need to see the gp, thrush tablets can be bought OTC. I only say that because I woke up this morning with symptoms (only second time for me too) and Dh stopped in at the chemist after work for me. I can’t imagine suffering for a couple of weeks.

I just bought the thrush cream and pessary on amazon last time. Ordering now. Just mentioned the docs in case it didn't sound like thrush. Not been to the docs in years
