Nespresso Help

Fancy a new machine for Christmas but really overwhelmed and confused by the different machines.

Recommendations and tips needed please!

I would not use a milk function personally but wonder if this is a feature that I might regret not having for guests and DS is a macchiato fan.

We got a Nespresso Vertuo Plus last Christmas and honestly, it is one of the best purchases we've made for the kitchen. It's a bit indulgent but so worth it! The coffees are gorgeous! We don't have a milk frother. I run the coffee maker and add cold milk to the cup afterward, then pop it in the microwave for a minute. I'm a philistine. I am aware of this. Grin

The best coffee is made using an old-fashioned filter cone and papers. TRUE FACT
Only joking, but that's what we use and honestly I have not found anything better tasting. To me, machine-made coffee just tastes like the ghastly over-extracted stuff you get at railway stations. And, FWIW, visitors have said that they really, really like our old-fashioned coffee and asked how we make it..

But it's all a matter of individual taste.
