Christmas gift ideas 💝

I just needed a little help from you guys. I have never celebrated Christmas so I am a little unsure (I celebrate Eid) 💝 Since it's covid and people are isolating I thought it would be nice to post some Christmas gifts to two of my elderly neighbours who celebrate Christmas. I just need ideas of what gifts my neighbours may like? They are both over the age of 60. One of the neighbours are a lovely couple 💑 the other is an elderly lady who lives alone.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much xxx

Ah that's a lovely thought. Generally gifts for people we don't know all that well can be things like chocolates, bath sets, nice foods etc. (Sometimes wine/alcohol but as you are a Muslim that would be an inappropriate suggestion!!). I think that your neighbours would probably just appreciate the gesture, knowing that you have thought of them.

I don't mind giving wine/alcohol 😊 that's a good suggestion! Thanks a lot for the lovely ideas xx

A nice tin of biscuits?

Marks and Spencers have some nice chocolate boxes at the moment and I think they're on offer. As M&S is a bit expensive, it's seen as a nice treat to most people.

That would be well received by most people. The biggest risk is that they have health conditions that mean they shouldn't eat chocolate, but most people would probably just have them anyway or try to make them last a while.

Jams and chutneys usually go down well. Agree with other posters about tins of biscuits.

Or they may like a poinsettia flower (traditionally a christmas flower) and you can buy them most places in December.

Such a lovely thing to do OP Smile

Thank you everyone for the lovely suggestions!!! Really appreciate. I think I'm going to go for: a personalised card, box of chocolates, biscuits and wine.

You can get bulbs like hyacinths and amaryllis which are pre-potted in compost, and in decorative pots and vases. M&S and Sainsbury’s etc do them for around £4-6 upwards.

Haha! ❤❤ and thank you! I'll have a look on M&S, both my neighbours love plants 😊
