Anyone having a difficult week?

Had the worst day today! My dental procedure went wrong, didn't work and involved lots of drilling into my jaw to be told I have to come back again after a year long delay. Then my client who has been messing me around called to "apologise" and basically it was a shambles and ended rather awkwardly with me crying afterwards. Then I left my card at home and had to leave the shopping in the supermarket only for a man to call me a stupid cow then deny it when challenged. I got all the way home to find the card was in my pocket and had to go back to collect it. Feeling rather sorry for myself :(

Oh no that all sounds rubbish you poor thing.

I am ill my sinuses are completely blocked and ive hardly slept the last couple of nights. I'm fed up with always having a cold and picking up all the bugs that go around. My immune system is shocking. Tbh this is just the last straw and I've sat on the sofa in a grumpy with sudden bursts of crying for 2 days.

Thankfully my boss has been very kind about me being off, my husband has taken care of everything and my dd has been a star. Hopefully I'll snap out of it in a day or 2 when I'm feeling better.

I had to give a pint of blood due to blood condition called haemochromitosis, then next day had to go to dentist for horrible root canal. 100% would not recommend.

Yep! Going through a pregnancy loss and ended up being told I needed surgery on Monday. It's my third loss in 6 months of trying to conceive. Surgery got rescheduled 3 days in a row- Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday. Finally had the surgery this AM.

I'm in the US and the bill was for $7000, which is a kick in the face as the exact same procedure at an abortion clinic rather than a hospital would be $600 but that's a 2 hout drive away as we're in a red state! That's on top of the 4 ultrasounds I had at $150 a piece. I'm waiting to find out what my insurance will cover.

What extra sucks is this is the end of the plan year and my deductible resets in January. We'll be paying out of our ears again to meet that once we start infertility testing before anything even gets covered.

Sounds like a difficult week.

I had an ILR device (miniature heart recorder) inserted in my chest on Tuesday so feeling rather sore still (& the cat keeps trying to walk over me in bed which causes me to swear at her).

Husband doesn’t want to be ‘the Mr to my Mrs’ any more.

Dad rushed into hospital tonight with suspected cancer complications.

sparklepink · 19/11/2020 22:19

oh no @therewere5inthebed - seems like a lot of people are going through endings right now :( sounds like you're potentially better off without the hubby! I hope your dad improves. Flowers

After struggling through a week with a head full of very very dark thoughts, I admitted some of it to someone today, including admitting to some of the very darkest bit. It was absolutely terrifying and incredibly difficult.

sparklepink · 19/11/2020 22:37

@badlydrawnbear you've made the first step, probably the hardest, congratulate yourself on how much of an achievement that is!

sparklepink thank you. I can't see it as an achievement today, but maybe in the future I will come to see it that way.

Thinking of all of you who have had horrible weeks. Hope things feel a bit better soon.
