Best mince pies

Tootytata · 19/11/2020 09:14

I usually make my own mince pies and think they taste better than any shop bought ones (unbiased of course!).

In normal times, I wait until December to eat them but this year I've already started eating them.

I think the best so far in order are:
M&S
Aldi
Morrison's
Tesco

Although I have a pack of Fortnum & Mason ones which I haven't tried yet! Which ones do you like?

Morrison's bakery ones are our pie of choice, none beat my mums though!

Had the M&S Collection ones recently with their Vanilla clotted cream - 10/10

Iceland luxury range ones are usually good.

We've had Asda, Aldi and M&S, can't remember which I liked best. I usually find shop bought ones disappointing because I like the pastry crisp and its usually a bit soft

I think I'll try the Morrisons bakery ones and there's some individual ones in the M&S bakery that are supposed to be good. 90pence each mind, but then maybe I'll buy and eat only one, instead of a box full.

I'm not a great mince pie fan, so cannot claim to have done extensive research, but my favourites last year were the Cook ones.

Sainsbury’s bakery mince pies 4 for £1 are delicious.

Which? has their best buys for this year and the Asda snowflake ones came out top.

Sainsbo's Ecchlefechan tarts. Absolutely the best, although only mince pie-adjacent. Can't go back to traditional mince pies now!

We only have ones without palm oil, so Iceland or Waitrose all butter, both are nice.
