BP monitor consistently saying ‘irregular’ pulse?

GP has asked me to do a few sitting and standing BPs for spells of dizziness .

Also being tested for anaemia (B12 and iron) and having an ecg tomorrow and cardiology appt next week .

I have health anxiety anyway so not sure what’s appropriate to do - given monitor keeps saying my pulse is off, would you ring NHS24 or just ignore?

I’m seeing surgery tomorrow anyway, just not sure !

As long as you are wearing the monitor as instructed wait for the experts to analyze your electrocardiogram-irregular can be random harmless premature ventricular beats or it could be an irregular sinus rhythm or a dysrhythmia that needs treating like atrial fibrillation. Let the experts read your ekg

Thank you , yes have had PVCs a lot in the past . GP saying they are trying to rule out cardiomyopathy hence cardiology referral etc .

So better to wait until that appointment with cardio doc then?

Thanks 😊

Unless pulse is very high and/or you feel unwell, I'd wait.

No, pulse is normal at 65-90 . BP 100/60 usually . Not feeling any more unwell than usual if that makes sense (been feeling off for a couple of weeks)
