What's the best series you've seen on Netflix?

I've run out of things to watch! I love it when I find a good series but I think I might have watched all the decent ones. I enjoyed the stranger, the queen's gambit, Lucifer, Safe, the fall plus others I can't remember the names of. What do you recommend? I'm not too keen on subtitles.

I recently binged Orange is the new black on Netflix. I'd never watched it before and found it really entertaining.

It does get a bit lesbian porny at times!

MellowBird85 · 18/11/2020 15:47

Hands down Haunting of Hill House. It’s so well made, the characters / relationships between them are complex and it’s genuinely eerie.

Succession. The Crown. Messiah.

Agree with orange is the new black, stranger things, ratched gets good reviews but haven't watched it. Enola Holmes was great but a film rather than a series. The good place is worth a watch. I also liked Chesapeake Shores. Sister sister is on there for a bit of nostalgia.

PickleSarnie · 18/11/2020 15:50

Lighter stuff: Schitts Creek, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmit, Jane the Virgin, The Good Place

Drama: The Last Kingdom, Breaking Bad, Hinterland.

Bit of both: Afterlife.

Bingowin · 18/11/2020 15:53

Offspring. First couple of episodes are a bit ropey but then you'll be hooked.

It's about an Aussie obstetritrian. It's funny,sad,dramatic.

DanielODonkey · 18/11/2020 15:53

The witcher (get past the first episode and it's great fun.)

Teenage bounty hunters

The crown

Schitts Creek

For sheer volume of episodes and because Capt Hook is lovely, Once Upon A Time.

MorningNinja · 18/11/2020 15:54

The Crown

The Fall

Shoxfordian · 18/11/2020 15:54

I think succession is sky?

I liked Orange is the new black, Emily in Paris, The Graduate, Drag Race

ilovespinach · 18/11/2020 15:55

Narcos (worth the subtitles)

Bummsbet · 18/11/2020 15:57

Dark

Bummsbet · 18/11/2020 15:57

It's worth the subtitles if you don't speak German.

PaperTowels · 18/11/2020 15:58

Money Heist. It's brilliant!

JaJaDingDong · 18/11/2020 16:00

Breaking Bad.

PixelatedLunchbox · 18/11/2020 16:03

Ray Donovan.
AMAZING series.

anothergloriousmorning · 18/11/2020 16:03

Afterlife. So well written and acted. So desperately sad but hilariously funny at the same time.

Orange is the new black- although far fetched at times- is also brilliant. One of those where you can't stop watching then realise it's 1am so you really should go to sleep.

AnnieKenneyfanclub · 18/11/2020 16:05

the Unbrella Academy

Sickofmysalary · 18/11/2020 16:08

Good girls

KaliforniaDreamz · 18/11/2020 16:09

Agree with Schitt's Creek and Offspring, both brilliant. Another aussie series is The Letdown. and a similar woman/mother based series is Workin' Moms.
Umbrella Academy and Stranger Things great to watch with a teen.
Brooklyn 99 is perfect for an easy to watch series.
Oh and If madmen is on there that is sublime imo!

MrsMariaReynolds · 18/11/2020 16:11

Do you mean ON Netflix, or made by Netflix? Because a lot of the series mentioned here so far are of BBC, HBO or some other origin.

I only pay for a month of Netflix each year to binge watch the latest series of The Crown or Stranger Things at Christmastime.

Notstayingup · 18/11/2020 16:14
