So Corbyn's been allowed back into the Labour Party, I guess because he hadn't broken any actual rules. But Starmer is not allowing him to sit as a Labour MP. So he's now an Independent MP.

Blimey.

Jeremy Corbyn should not have been re-admitted to the Labour Party.

@nosswith

Jeremy Corbyn should not have been re-admitted to the Labour Party.
And I'm sure he wouldn't have been, but I imagine they've discovered that he didn't actually break any PLP rules. So they couldn't keep him out.

Quite right too. The party needs a complete break and an overhaul. What went on under Corbyn was shameful

Good for Starmer. I can't believe that Corbyn has been readmitted. I hope he stands his ground

Puzzledandpissedoff · 18/11/2020 13:26

Thing is, Momentum will probably fight against this too and tie Starmer in legal knots

Though according to the Morning Star "Former MP Chris Williamson has joined the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) ... he has been elected to the group’s national steering committee as a representative of the Resistance Movement" so maybe Corbyn could go and join his attack dog in that?

PaperTowels · 18/11/2020 14:46

Momentum can't fight anything, I shouldn't think. They don't have ay official status with the Labour party, do they?

Good. Good riddance too
