Sitting on the sofa with a slightly whiff small black cockerpoo next to me, she’s snoring.

She’s such good company on a walk, so pleased to see us when we get home, so pleased to see anyone. She’s been a joy after a bereavement in the family, she’s distracted us all.

I so thought this was going to be a rant at your other half or family member op😂😂😂
Dogs are ace, we have a mega slobber hound! She stinks, because she spends all her time seeking out muddy ponds/ streams to jump in, but I do luffs her

Stellaris22 · 17/11/2020 20:35

She makes me smile. I'll be walking her and all she has to do is look up at me with a happy face and it makes me happy. I never realised it was possible to love an animal this much till we got her.

nancybotwinbloom · 17/11/2020 20:38

Because he makes laughing noises snd sometimes it looks like he is smiling.

He's so demanding but he's so clever

NetballHoop · 17/11/2020 20:39

I couldn't be without a dog.

I remember sitting in in my parents garden sobbing my eyes out at a failed relationship aged 14. Our dog crept up behind me, nuzzled my neck and put his head in my lap. He'd never done that before but he just knew I needed him.

When I want a happy memory, that's one of my top ones.

Jumbogirl · 17/11/2020 20:41

Ah a million reasons - he's just so handsome and clever and lovable and quirky. He's also an excellent judge of character - like spookily so - now if he growls at someone who comes into the house I take it very seriously and start searching for character flaws right away!

Onamugsearch · 17/11/2020 20:45

Because they love me so much, even when I’m grumpy.
Because they adore the dc, they sneak up to them and roll over for a cuddle
The older one does audible farts, looks guilty and retreats elsewhere for a few moments
The younger one is dappy, happy and always behaves impeccably when we are out with other woofs (showing them up) like you’d want your child to 😂
Because they’ve made dh who is a dog hater, love them through their funny looks and constant affection

NiceTwin · 17/11/2020 20:47

Because nobody else in the house does.
To be fair, he's not keen on them either Grin

katmunchkin · 17/11/2020 20:48

Because no matter how shitty my day has been, she's the only one who's ever pleased to see me unconditionally

DancingWithWillard · 17/11/2020 20:54

I couldn’t tell you! He’s poorly toilet trained, incredibly clingy, barks when a sparrow farts next door, steals all my toast, hogs the bed even though he’s the size of a small cat, dislikes all other dogs, but I adore him beyond all rhyme and reason. He is my soul dog and the best thing in the world. And he’s so stinking cute I could cry.

DancingWithWillard · 17/11/2020 20:56

I should say he’s a rescue so had these bad habits already (apart from being allowed in my bed and being carried around like a princess and being wrapped in a blankie when he’s chilly😳) and is improving.

Kolsch · 17/11/2020 21:12

Because he's bonkers and makes me laugh.
