Weighted blanket to go on top of quilt

I think a weighted blanket might help my elderly mother sleep. But she's set in her ways and I know she will want to keep her quilt.
Would that make it too warm? And would she still feel the benefit of the blanket?
Any recommendations for a blanket that would be ok on top of a quilt?

I have one over my quilt. I like to start warm in bed through, so it may depend on what she prefers. I know some people prefer to be cooler when sleeping, so the quilt and weighted blanket may be too much for them.
I've got a Koala blanket. It has definitely improved my sleep.

I bought one for the first time ever just over a week ago and it is honestly one of the best purchases I have made, it is the faux fur one from Studio. It was £50.
I use it over my usual duvet and I’m snug as a bug. I do know that some people prefer to be cooler during the night. I believe weighted blankets come in a variety of different weights Smile

I like to be cooler in bed but I don't find the weighted blanket heats it up. I have it in a single duvet cover so it's my own duvet, then our king size goes over the top!
I'm perfect temp all year round
