Six in One vaccine - chickenpox?

Does anyone know if chickenpox has been added to the vaccine programmes run by the NHS in 2020. I enquired about getting this for my son when he has his MMR next month but they say it's been added to the 1 in 5. However, upon looking at the NHS website it doesn't mention it and it specifically says when you look at the Chickenpox vaccine that it isn't routinely given. However, this information was last updated in January 2019. I want to vaccinate my DS for Chickenpox but obviously don't want to "double dose". The red book isn't clear either.

Tia for any help.

Probably not. In other countries its added in with the MMR

My daughter had her mmr in June, it wasn't mentioned on the leaflet they hand out to explain what they have had. And it wasn't mentioned at all by the nurse. I would hope if they are vaccinating against it they would have to tell you.

And chickenpox vaccine isn't usually given before age 1. In other places they get the MMRV vaccine (has varicella vaccine against chicken pox)

And as far as I know there are not current plans to add the vaccine into the UK schedule

I thought it was odd. I can't ring the surgery as they just tell me to do it online. I'll speak when I go see them next month and then book a private one. Thanks for replying.
