Suitable for a Christmas present for a nearly 8 year old?
And what about 3 year old?
Thinking of the character cuddly toy type ones, so they don’t even have to be heated up if their mother is not sure.....

We got ones from Sainsbury's for our 4 and 7 year old- butterfly and ladybird but there were others too. They're great.

DS8 has one (a sheep), absolutely loves it. Sounds like a good plan to me.

filled with grains or cherry stones?
nice, but don't keep the heat well (nothing beats a hot water bottle in that regard) and they give off a bit of damp which is unpleasant when they cool down again.

I went off them when my one with grain started hatching weevils.

My 8 year old dd has a sheep one and loves it. Its crap for giving off heat, but it smells nice and is cute! She uses it every night.

Some positive replies. Think I’ll go for it.
The tale of the weevils has made me feel a bit ick! But I’m sure that’s very rare.
