Can you use a normal extension lead outside?

Potentially stupid question but I can't find an alternative! I want to put lights outside for Christmas this year but will need to plug them in inside. I looked for an outdoor extension lead but they don't seem to exist? Do you just use a normal one? Never had lights outside before!

Hi OP

You can use a Dri-Box, so long as the end of the extension lead is indoors.

I had one powering an outside security light while I was having my extension built. It was watertight for well over a year.
