Do you need smears if you're not sexually active

Not had sex for 10+ years and highly unlikely to ever do so again. I'm only in my early 30s. I've had 2 so far and not had sex since the first one. I'm more than happy to go for it but it's a lot of faff, will take me pretty much all day, unless they can come to me. Can district nurses do smears??

Thought that would be the response. I was friends with someone who was a virgin when her first smear was due and she was told she didn't need it then. It was for religious reasons though so don't know if that made any difference.
