Work asked me to cancel my annual leave to come in today to be here for the new starter so they weren't on their own. Except they are starting next week and now I'm sat in the office alone all day when I should be at home and I didn't even bring headphones because I thought I'd be busy training all day. I'm in a huge strop about it

Pissing Mondays. Anyone else already been annoyed?

I've got to go to work. It's Monday. It's raining. Other than that it's dandy

Computer decided to update itself this morning. 48% updated an and hour in. Desperately trying to work on my phone and iPad (clearly failing as an on mumsnet)

Also, DCat is on a diet ... I’m doing IF to lose a bit of weight too. Weighed us both this morning: DCat lost more than me last week

The WiFi signal is playing up which is fine for my phone, I can use the 4g, but for WFH it's not so good. I am supposed to be able to tether my work phone to my laptop but for some reason it isn't connecting.

The only slice of bread in the house is mouldy.

I have a cold despite seeing virtually nobody.

I missed a delivery while I was in the shower.

The dining room smells of cat wee.

I have an important zoom call later, and raging blepharitis. Might not be a problem though seen as I just knocked a mug of coffee on my laptop. Happy Monday

Mn is driving me barmy. The ads are so ridiculously long to load that my page jumps and I click on some random thread EVERY SINGLE TIME. It's making me reduce my Mn habit drastically though.

Back at work after a long period of illness with covid. Quite looking forward to that I think. until the fuck wit I'm working with grates on me after 10 minutes!

Ddog pissed on my thankfully small washable lounge rug this morning which I've washed and cleaned up but not before she ate her breakfast all over the friggin downstairs of the house.

Dd2 couldn't find her script for her play cue running around like a loon trying to find it.
Found it on her bedroom desk after asking her to check there a few times

Road resurfacing right outside the house and it's been noisy since about 6 am

I'm fed up of insurance companies and buildrs.

We've had no kitchen for a month. There's no ceiling so no lights. No cupboards so there's food/kitchenware everywhere.

Daily phonecalls, no one rings back knowing anything, emails that are promised are never received. No date for work as the insurance and builders are haggling over price, but no one can tell us what exactly the insurance are agreeing to replace. I was promised a call today. I phoned instead of waiting, and the person I need is not in today. Wtf.

I’ve also cancelled my leave to work today. Wish I hadn’t bothered. Sodding IT systems keep crashing and wiping everything. It’s all going belly up this morning and I’ve had a tit-full already.
Up in the night with 3y/o DD who wasn’t feeling well and am generally uncomfortable with ligament type pains as 20 weeks pregnant.

DH is on a day off and moping around whining that he’s tired....... I expect he’ll break out the dressing gown of doom at some point today and start shuffling around feeling sorry for himself.

Could someone somewhere have a glass of wine for me later please?

Well some of these made me feel better about my own shitty Monday  Sympathies all. I would say the week can only get better but it's 2020 so that would be a total fucking lie.

I’m counting down until I begin my new job. I’ve got 17 days till I finish then a day off before starting my next job.
My car won’t change into a gear higher than second(automatic) and the lovely mechanic can’t see to it till next Wednesday

DH started back at work on Saturday after being off for a month with Covid. Yesterday DS developed a horrible cough and has a temp of 38 so we are right back to self isolating again.

My best, most lovely, most capable member of staff has just quit :(

I just can’t motivate myself. I’ve got a million emails and a report overdue but I can no longer be bothered. I am both very stressed and very bored at the same time. Also in denial - rather than tackling this issue which will soon get me in trouble, I prefer to muck around on mumsnet making wisecracks.

The person in front of me in the shop, let someone go in front of them. Which means that me and the three folk behind me had longer to wait. The queue interloper then fannied about with their packing and paying. Is it too early for gin?

My boss is a twat and I’m horrified that they’ve climbed as high as they have in the halls of power he’s painfully thick but talks a good game

Vodafone cutting me off after 35 minutes on hold & not talking to a human. Also making it very difficult for me to switch from one of their plans to another

I got home now and found I have no wine.

We also have a spider which has just had baby spiders above the kitchen table, she ate a fly whilst I ate dinner ☹️ I don't have the heart to hoover up the eggs
