What worked for you?

It's been a week now since my bum started hurting after getting in from a long walk. I took a hot shower after and had a feel around. To my horror I felt the rubbery lump down there straight away Sad It's about the size of a marble and is so uncomfortable. I'm not pregnant it's just come out of the blue at 32 years of age. Luckily it's not bled yet or got any bigger, but I read most sort themselves out within a few days but as it's now been a week I don't think mine will. So I'm going to morrisons to get some cream tomorrow. I've been eyeing up anusol if anyone has experience with that brand?

I know most people get that at some point but that doesn't stop it being so shit. They alternate between being feeling painful in a stinging/burning way or really itchy.

Everytime I sneeze it feels like my arse is going to explode Sad

I gave birth 5 days ago and also have piles. I can’t even go to the toilet so i’m getting constipated as well. I’m calling my doctor tomorrow for some cream or something. They really hurt!

Poke it back up inside when your'e in the shower and after a poo And keep the area super clean.

Anusol is pants.

Scheriproct on prescription is what you want.

I had them after ds2 was born. The nurse stitching me up commented on it Blush but weirdly I had no pain with them whatsoever until a few months later and it was absolute agony. If it’s just uncomfortable rather than very painful anusol might work but if not call your GP. I tried many over the counter things before I gave in and went to the GP and the cream I was prescribed (Proctosedl) worked amazingly, they were gone and pain free within a couple of days.

Well I bought the anusol today, I'm hoping it will help as I think mine is relatively small. I will apply it tonight and will keep you all updated..

Witch hazel shrinks them back op. I had one when I had my daughter knocked it on the head,

ritzbiscuits · 16/11/2020 18:36

Agree re: anusol, I've been trying that for weeks and scheriproct sorted it out in couple of days!

Can you get that over the counter?

Just to let you know after 5 days on the anusol it's now shrunk to the size of a pea and my bum is feeling much less delicate, i'd definitely recommend giving it a go
