Ella's pouches - can anyone help with portion size?

I don't use them very often and have mainly had the smaller fruit and veg purees as a back up to add to things now DS is a lot bigger. I usually freeze stuff myself or he has what we're having but I thought they'd be handy for convenience when I get caught short especially since our freezer has just died!

I've got some of the bigger 'meal' ones like spag bol for ten months +, DS is ten and a half months and it doesn't state how much to give him. Is it the whole pouch? It looks like quite a lot.

Usually I'd do about 5 tablespoons ish plus a side of something and he demolishes the lot, so I was going to do half a pouch but I don't want him to go hungry as I'm imagining they're not as nutritionally dense as the food I might cook from scratch (No judgement, I'm going to happily use them as and when I need to!)

How much do you give your ten month old?

Feed him until he stops so probably the whole lot but he's a big baby!

I don't think he would stop 🙈 he doesn't seem to have limits on food tbh will just eat and then sick up if he's had too much. I'm hoping he's going to learn to regulate a bit more!

I use these for my 10 month old DD, I usually do her the full pouch and she manages about 3/4. I would just do the whole thing for him, it doesnt actually look like there is a lot once you have put it into a bowl. I just wish they did more variety like the 7months+!

My 1 year old eats plenty throughout the day, but never much in one sitting so half to 3/4 pouch would do him for a meal. For the following day i sometimes mash up some veggies to bulk out the leftover bit of pouch for a lunch.

I found them too much, too samey they get bored. So when I very occasionally use one (when we half fish and chips) I give my 11 month old a few chips, some banana and prob about half of the ready made stuff.

Thank you! Gave him one yesterday, did just over half with finger food and it seemed to be okay.

They’re designed to be a portion.
