What’s happening in your house?

We’re on the French Swiss border so on lockdown so activities are limited. DH and I are currently on the sofa having coffee and browsing the net. Teen DD is still in bed. We’re having a cooked breakfast of bacon, eggs, mushrooms and sausage.

It’s a lovely sunny day so we’ll go out for our hour exercise taking a walk in the local forest this afternoon.

We only eat two meals a day so dinner tonight will be a fillet steak each and I’ve got chocolate orange snowmen from Montezumas for dessert.

DS13 in sleeping still. I’m having a lie-in while DH has gone in for an early shift at work. DD4 is currently jumping on my bed dancing to music on YouTube. It’s tricky to type 😂

I have been up with DD3 since 5.30am - made Eggy Bread for breakfast, done the washing, unloaded and restacked the dishwasher and prepared lunch (Pork Belly).
DP is now playing with DD3 in her nursery while I read yesterday's paper in bed with a coffee.
Other 2 DCs still in bed!

Dcs all in bed. Was thinking of having a lie in but got a delivery from amazon at 8. Dh doing some work on his new project. I’ve just put the beef steak in slow cooker for lunch, emptied the dishwasher and just sat down with a cup of tea.
Need to tackle school uniform ironing and do some meal prep for the week. Hoping I’ll be done by midday.

I'm having a quiet cup of tea in the kitchen. The washer's on, and braising steak's in the slow cooker.

Both girls still sleeping. Their dad's at work.

Nothing needs doing today, I don't think.

DD7 is doing a Brownies Zoom thing. DS4 is watching Peter Rabbit. DH is dozing, I’m on MN and my second coffee

Plan for today: mainly get the DC to do their homework. Pester MIL to find out what she wants for her birthday. I should’ve refused to give her Christmas present ideas until she’d given us ideas for what she wants!! She gets her shopping all finished and then ignores us wanting to know what she wants... it’s cheating 🤣

Dh - having a lie in
Ds8 - being loud and generally annoying. I've told him if he is calm and stops jumping around /talking constantly about nothing for a while he can play roblox
Dd4 - is watching peppa pig
Me - making most of a bit of peace and quiet

We have been listening to 80s music and dancing around the kitchen altogether too.

It's raining really heavily here and we are on lockdown (UK). DD is 3, she is currently making a birthday card for my SIL then I was thinking of some painting and a Christmas film, mainly to tease DH as he thinks it's too early for this sort of thing!

Dc are drawing cavemen and I have the bath running so will pop them in the bath for a while then I will have a bath after

Spatchcock chicken and chips for dinner - we had a roast during the week
Have few treats for a movie for dc later so I can get a bit done

DD and I have had breakfast in bed. She's watching Peter Rabbit on my kindle and I'm about to finish my book. DH is in the shower and is about to watch the F1. The cat just pounced on DD's feet and ran away.

We're going to make biscuits while he watches the race. We'll go for a walk if it stops raining and have a roast dinner later on.

We’ve all been up since 7. Had a cooked breakfast, tidied up, washing on and now sat with snacks watching the F1.
Will have an early lunch and head out on the bikes, do some baking, more washing and coconut lentil daal for dinner 😋

No lockdown here (Wales). DD is with her dad today so it's me and the dog cwtched up on the sofa. We've had a walk and I've done my run, but I need a shower.to wash the mud off!!

May pop into the local town for a mooch and a bit of Christmas shopping. May have a little 🍷later.

I'm sitting on the sofa sandwiched between two dogs. I'm on mn, Instagram, fb etc and might put netflix on. I plan to do very little today, but might do some yoga.

Dd is having a shot of the tablet while I do some chores. Later we'll maybe go for a walk to the beach and get some christmas lights too.
Nothing too taxing anyway.

DP and I are both sat on the sofa's in the living room. DP is making his weekly round of phone calls to his family to catch up, and I'm about to make us both a sandwich up for lunch

DH is in the bath, DC are watching videos of youtubers playing minecraft on the tv.
It is a lovely sunny day, I should make them get dressed and go out for a pointless walk to nowhere (we went out yesterday in the pouring rain and a gale, because DC2's homework required us to go on a 'nature walk'). I have to get DC2 to do maths homework and work out how else to fill the day that isn't DC just staring at screens.

I'm having a lazy day asI worked yesterday. Had a lay in. Will potter all day doing housework etc.

Dd is watching tv in her pjs, probably marking or lesson planning.

The boys are out at football.

I am lying naked on my bed covered in moisturiser

DD is upstairs on her phone but we'll be baking scones shortly.

My OH is playing Star Wars, DS is drawing pictures, and I'm pottering around, avoiding doing my coursework.

DH - killing zergs (starcraft)
teen DS - building an empire with a friend. Constant chatting from his room
Me - making my workers build the roads to rome. Running around like mad to get it done in time to please Caesar.

Very grown up family.

Going out to Wakehurst Place with flasks and chocolate biscuits soon. Need to have shower and dress. Then will make shepherds pie for tea and perhaps an apple crumble. Dcat has taken DP’s chair and is looking splendid. Will FaceTime family and call my friend later. Am feeling relaxed as I’m not in work until Wednesday 😺

Kids are entertaining themselves and DH is at work. I'm sat drinking my second coffee of the day while thinking about how horrible my cold is.

Just had croissants and coffee for breakfast and the washing machine is on. Up since 11.
I need to wash up, hoover and mop downstairs, clean the bathroom, do 1 more load of washing and then chill!

Beautiful day but the local country parks will be full. It was pouring yesterday and there was no parking then, so imagine today will be nuts.
So staying home. Dc3 is napping, dc2 is on fortnite, dc1 is pokemon catching with his friend somewhere in town. Dh is out for a run so I am going to make the most of the peace and have a cup of tea and crochet in my chair by the window. Sun is coming in int hat spot right now so it’s perfect.
