I can’t find the title or remember it

Do you mean The Little Wooden Horse series by Ursula Moray Williams?

Lardlizard · 15/11/2020 00:01

Yes I think it might be that
Thank you
It was around the 80s our teacher read that to us and I’ve never been able to find it

I loved this as a child and recently bought it for my son!

I would say The Little Wooden Horse too.

I cried buckets over it as a warning.

There's also one called 'The Enchanted Horse' which stars a little girl called Irina.

'The adventures of the little wooden horse.... What a lovely book.

There is a nasty rocking horse in it, who 'Threatens to crush the little wooden horse to powder'' under his snooty rockers, as the little wooden horse is so shabby.

It was one of my favourite book as a child.

''Away went Galloper'' is also good, circa 1962, {about a magical rocking horse {with lovely Thelwell illustrations}

I'll look out for the one called 'the Enchanted horse' too.

I have a copy of the Ursula Williams book. It was orange if that rings a bell.

I wept and broke my heart over that book!
