I have a spare room and I'd like to be able to help someone who is a refugee but I don't know how to. Does anyone know of any organisations that do this?

You can register with your Local Authority if you want to host an under 18- speak to their fostering department. Currently lots of unaccompanied children are being dispersed throughout the UK.

Thank you, I don't really want to host an under 18 as I'm not a parent, really looking for adults.

Look into the Refugees at Home charity . I know they look for people to host refugees.

You register online and they will contact you

Be aware that it can be extremely difficult.

Refugees at home is a great organisation. Everyone I know who has done it has found it v rewarding. Even Gary Lineker hosted a refugee!

It's an amazing thing that you are thinking of doing, OP. Thank you.
