Is it worth it? I don't want to buy the bike.

How does the app work, do you have to then pay to attend the classes?

No they are included so you would just watch it on your tv or tablet either live or use the on demand library x

We have the app and it's brilliant. We don't have a Peloton bike, but do have a spin one. There is so much more than cycling on the app though.

Yoga, meditation, running, HIIT classes etc etc. In my opinion is very good value for money.

If you pay the subscription do you get the app?

Thanks - does it have stuff for outdoor cycling or just the indoor cycling? I am finding it frustrating to find any info on it...

How is it for weight loss and strength? Yoga and meditation sound amazing!

With the running is it like C 3 5k?

Basically, I think I can just about afford it (if I cancel my union membership which I dont need as I have been made redundant) but I really only want to have this, strava and garmin connect plus the TRX app (already ahve that one)... Not sure if that would cover me for everything.

@nancybotwinbloom Yes, I think so - maybe someone else can advise on that!

I'm
Not an expert on it, but my impression is you pay £12.99 for the app which can be used on any device. The subscription (I believe) is £39 and you have to have the Peloton bike to utilise this. Also think if you get the bike, you have to pay for the subscription to get the classes on the tablet it comes with.

There is no outdoor cycling on the app but there is outdoor running. I also use the indoor running outdoors as I don't have a treadmill and try to find a hill when they say to add to the gradient.

There are literally hundreds of classes in many categories. For £12.99 I think it's a bargain. The music is also fantastic and there is something for everyone.

@nancybotwinbloom Yes, I think if you pay the more expensive subscription, you can log into the app also.

nancybotwinbloom · 14/11/2020 19:12

Oh so the bike subcritical is one cost and the app on top of that?

Candacewasalwaysright · 14/11/2020 19:34

Check out Les Mills on demand if you only need an app. I
We have a spin bike as well as proper bike on a trainer and use that plus the GCN workouts and indoor cycling videos (footage people have uploaded from their outdoor rides) on you tube.

Les Mills also has cardio, strength and flexibility classes.

I have Peleton, cancelled my gym membership for it and haven’t looked back. Granted I invested in the bike as well but there is so much more than just the bike. More content on the app than you’ll ever get bored with, new classes added all the time and it’s really interactive.
This is before you get to the massive community online, many fb pages dedicated to it.
Put simply, it’s a gym in your pocket, minimal equipment needed.
I have the Les Mills app too but to be honest I haven’t really used it since having Peleton, the equipment needed is off putting despite loving the content.

ChasingRainbows19 · 14/11/2020 19:51

I second the Les Mills app, loads of content. Three type of bike workouts, plus other classes . It’s cheaper than Peloton I think (might be wrong) . You can get a free trial. So could compare both to see which suits you.
