End of an era...

My ds11 started secondary school in September. He's July born and has always been quite young for his age. Over lockdown and the summer he was still mad on Lego, preferred being home with us rather than with friends...we were a bit worried about him starting year 7 as he was so young for his age.

This weekend he has blitzed his room. All the prized Lego models have been hidden in drawers, cuddly toys gone, Lego Star Wars blanket gone...his Christmas list consists of trainers and clothes, not a Lego set in sight.

It's a very sad moment

(Of course I'm also delighted that he's made friends at high school, is growing up and not struggling with the change and I know it's inevitable and exactly as it should be etc etc etc)

Anyone else want to share woeful tales of their babies growing up to make me feel better?
