Slim 5 foot 8" , 14 year old son, what size jumper in men's size, xs, s or medium?

He's normally bought kids sizes but has shot up and now needs adult sizes.
Just ordering some tips online from h&m but not sure what size to get.

My DS was same height and build at 14 started off in men’s small. One year later he is over 6 foot and a medium 😫

I am 5 st 8 and slim and I wear a medium men’s because I like my jumpers baggy.

ds is 6'3" and until recently was veyr slim. He found that the men's sizes didn't get much longer or longer sleeves, thay justy got wider, so he was only in a medium despite being 6'3".

Since then he has got into working out and made his shoulders much broader, and now he needs the bigger sizes.

Small-medium depending how fitted/loose he likes his jumpers. My Dad was 5' 11" & built like a beanpole & tended to opt for medium. I'm 5' 6.5" not quite as beanpole-ish thanks to 5dc & kept a couple of his jumpers for when I'm mooching about at home/gardening & medium is a loose enough fit for me (without it looking like I'm drowning/stupidly long sleeves).

I’d say XS or S. BIL is slender, 6ft and wears M. S would be a tighter fit bit wouldn’t be too tight on him.
