Just got to the park and there is kids bike, coat, scarf and hat...

We arrived at 9.10, park is empty but there is a kids bike (id say 6/7 year old bike) and a coat on a bench and a scarf and hat on the floor. It's raining, they are soaked.

I always think the worst in any situation. Do you think something strange has happened?

I did call 101 who logged it but didn't sound concerned (obviously)

I would personally presume that someone went after school, the parent got distracted (toddler kicking off?) and didn't realise all their stuff was left behind. Maybe post on a local Facebook group to see if the owner can be identified.

That really is a jump to think the worst; what is your worry? if he’d been kidnapped (which I guess is your worry) why would his coat be left? Everything would be taken so as not to leave a trace.
They could easily belong to different kids and someone just put all the lost property they found on a bench or a child went home without it all last night after playing out and parent hasn’t realised yet.

I think you'd have heard of a child was missing.

I suppose I have the mitcham incident fresh in my mind!
