I’d love it if someone was able to answer this for me as I just can’t work it out.

18 months ago I had a dural puncture from my epidural during labour. I was offered a blood patch for my PDPH but declined as I didn’t want to be away from my daughter (and I was a bit scared - the epidural went way too high and we had a few scary moments!)
Anyway after about a week, my skull crushing headache began to improve and my ears kept popping, like there was water in them.
18 months later, whenever I exercise and get out of breath, my ears pop! I don’t remember this happening before I had my daughter. Could it be related to the dural puncture? And if it is, could someone please explain to me exactly what is happening? It’s driving me crazy!!

No idea but I’d love the answer myself! I had a dural puncture after a lumbar puncture and as well as the crushing headache I had substantial hearing loss for about a week. Scary time. You poor thing having to cope with that headache with a newborn to care for. How did you manage OP???

That headache is just so bloody painful isn’t it?! I thought my head might explode every time I stood up!
Looking back, I have absolutely no idea how i managed with such a little baby. Thankfully I was able to feed her lying down!
Really hope someone clever is able to give us the answer to this. Do your ears pop still?
