Choosing cesearian

Hi, can anyone help me please?

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and have had quite a few problems during my pregnancy and I'm worried sick that of i have a natural labour there will be complications (it doesn't help that my mum had massive problems when giving birth to me). Its causing me a lot of anxiety and I had decided that I wanted to go for a cesearian for the health and safety of my baby. I've just found out that the hospital I'm registered with doesn't allow optional cesearians. I'm living in the west midlands and I'm not from this area so I'm not familiar with the hospitals around here. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do or which hospital will let me have the cesearian?

Quote the NICE guidelines at them (link below - points 1.2.9.5 and 1.2.9.6). If they're not prepared to offer you a c-section, they're supposed to refer you to someone who will.

Legally you cannot be declined a section as pointed out above, however the consultant has the right to decline and must refer to another consultant for consideration.
They will probably recommend counselling prior to agreement on mode of delivery and to ensure you understand the risks and benefits to both you and your baby.
I would strongly recommend you go armed with plenty of knowledge regarding the above and your mums history (if indeed applicable from a physical perspective, rather than how it is linked to your mental health)
