Anyone got any tips on how I can get a refund?

Order didn't turn up 3 weeks ago, and I've been chasing a refund ever since. Every time I call I get told I'll be refunded in 3-5working days, but never materialises. I just want my money back.

Write to head office, threaten legal action

Disorganisedfish · 12/11/2020 19:49

I’m here for tips - I’m in same boat with sainsburys and I’m getting more and more grumpy about the fact they clearly just don’t care!

yorkshirepudddiing · 12/11/2020 19:52

I've never had an issue getting refunds for missing or poor quality items I have always requested them online and it happens automatically

GiantKitten · 12/11/2020 19:53

Have you tried Twitter?

georgedawes · 12/11/2020 19:58

It's not a missing item Yorkshire, it's the whole order at £80!

They don't seem to reply on twitter as far as I can see, but writing to head office is worth a try.

Sorry you're in the same boat disorganised!

This happened to me. Tweet them.

User56770987 · 12/11/2020 20:06

Ah you've done that already... Not sure then. Say you can't afford to buy enough food for your kids until they refund you. Threaten going to papers.

PotterHead1985 · 12/11/2020 20:08

Three bloody weeks is taking the proverbial at this point. Deffo get onto head office.

justthecat · 12/11/2020 20:14

Ring the helpline, sadly it’s a customer service in South Africa! They’re usually good. Last time I rang if the order is over£25 it needs to be authorised so list what you ordered so you can tell them, mention how much time you’ve waited etc.

CommanderBurnham · 12/11/2020 20:22

Get onto Twitter! They're really responsive there.

georgedawes · 12/11/2020 20:22

I've called 3 times and get told each time I'll get it back in 3-5 working days..don't see why I should have to wait any longer tbh and don't trust them either!

I'll try twitter and head office and see if that does anything.

CommanderBurnham · 12/11/2020 20:22

Sorry just seen you've done that too.

HelloCanYouHearMe · 12/11/2020 20:47

Email the CEO

I did this when I had an issue with them and one of his team picked it up and sorted it out for me (although it did take 2 weeks to get to the bottom of what had happened and why)

LaurenT88 · 17/11/2020 07:07

Any luck OP? I've been waiting 3 weeks aswell. I also keep getting told 2-3 days or 24-48 hours. Thought I was getting somewhere when they emailed me asking for my banks contact details so they could speed up the process. And when I rang to give them they refused to take them asking me to wait another 2-3 days. I refused and asked to speak to a supervisor I was told they would call me back .... of course that hasn't happened. It's so so hard to keep calm when talking to them as after 6 phone calls of promises it's just like they're liking at this point. Have emailed CEO .... but going to email again with an update of the further lies they have told.

WhentheDealGoesDown · 17/11/2020 07:12

I had an issue with Asda once, they overcharged me by about £60 and in the end I went to the store that delivered it and sorted it out as the call centre was based overseas and useless.

LaurenT88 · 17/11/2020 09:24

I agree they are useless , they are so pleasant and polite when you call, but think nothing of telling lies about what action they have taken. They actually don't give a sh*t.

Hm2020 · 17/11/2020 10:45

Sainsbury’s refunded my missing shopping order in 48 hours and I was actually angry it wasn’t quicker it was 2 weeks worth of food to take me to payday and didn’t have any more money and was isolating Blush
