It's so hard this year! Shock

shumway · 12/11/2020 17:16

There's another thread if you need help. Think it's also in Chat.

Does anyone have the canal one? I'm on 19/20 and it's the only one I can't get. Also, let me now if you need any extra clues for the others.

prufrockrocks · 12/11/2020 21:42

Know obvs. Blush

Literally the name of the London-Birmingham canal.
Reborn2020 · 13/11/2020 08:01

I have 15 but stuck on a few can we exchange answers or is that not 'allowed'

Reborn2020 · 13/11/2020 08:02

Talking Tuesdays anyone?

Twisique · 13/11/2020 09:14

I have six, its really hard this year!

Usually there is a classic novel I get straight away.

I also thought that Richard Osmans book would be in it as its everywhere at the moment!

Frazzled13 · 13/11/2020 09:18

@Reborn2020 forget about the word Tuesday, thats not relevant, the bottom of the sign where it says “bring a pal” is important. The book is by an author who has written another, more famous book that the bbc did a series of this year.

prufrockrocks · 13/11/2020 09:18

For talking tuesdays, focus on the 'bring a pal' element. Another words for discussions followed by another for pals.

GrandUnion · 13/11/2020 09:51

If you’re having ‘Talks With Pals’, you’re having ‘X With Y’. Think of synonyms for ‘Talks’ and ‘Pals’.

prufrockrocks · 13/11/2020 10:26

Thanks v much to TuesdaysWell! I feel very sheepish indeed! I kept trying to work out what place was 70 miles from London and 67 from Birmingham. And it wasn't even some obscure author! Oh dear.

lalalalaloo · 13/11/2020 23:03

Im so stuck on the bee one - Ive tried The secret life of bees, The bees, the history of bees!

lalalalaloo · 13/11/2020 23:03

I was also sure the two hams was Jamon Jamon but that doesnt work?

GrandUnion · 13/11/2020 23:42

It’s nothing to do with bees. Add the word ‘bee’ to what a heart symbol traditionally stands for to make one word. Well-known novel by an African-American author.

What is the ham in?

I have 14 I am stuck on the flowers, the dog, talking Tuesdays, Bennetts Supplies, the record shop and the three women sitting on the canal side. If you want to swap clues, I have the others ?

BoattoBolivia · 17/11/2020 23:28

The three women- what sort of female is each one with words on their tops? And why has the other one got a question mark? I am stuck on stamping on the box of cereal .

I've got all of them apart from the flowers, the bookstore and the cafe, so I'll swap a couple with you if you want!
BoattoBolivia · 18/11/2020 23:28

The flowers- look at the artist's signature. What does that mean?
