Walking shoes, wide fit.

My mum walks the dog every day, and now the weather is so muddy, she could really use some wide fit walking shoes.
I can find lots of walking shoes, but nothing about a wide fit.
I don't mind the price. She is 80yo, so easy to put on would help, that is why looking shoe not boot.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thank you both. The Vivo seem to be boots or trainer style? I'm looking fr something instead of a welly boot. Something like this. Lightweight, waterproof, size 3.5 and a wide fit. Hard to get it all.

Altberg based in Richmond, Yorkshire make walking boots in 5 width fittings. They were the only place I could find boots to fit. Not cheap but fantastic fit. Worth a visit to their factory shop for fitting, if like me, you have really difficult feet.

My feet are quite wide, in particular an enlarged toe joint on one (I dropped a boat on it once) . I've found some of the karrimor walking shoes from sports direct ok, and berghaus for boots.
I usually find I need to size up from my usual 4 for walking shoes and boots for sock room - 4.5 for the karrimors, 5 for boots.

I shall have to make note of Altberg for future reference - good excuse for a trip over to that area. Interested to see sketchers do some wide fittings - I've never seen them in a shop and the standard ones simply won't go on my right foot.

Try boys shoes, in those sizes they are wider than womens.

Skechers, fit flops are great, or I’ve just ordered a size up at decathlon and I’m loving the boots. My feet are so so wide. I can’t even fit into next or marks wide fit as they use ordinary sole width. A boys it mans shoe might help as the cut of sole is wider

Be careful of the Meindl, the quality isn't what it was. I spent a lot of money on a good pair of walking boots for my wide feet. A boot hook came off within a couple of weeks and they are still mucking me about replacing them.

I bought a pair of cheap Keen boots to be going on with an they have been great for my wide feet.
