Any physios about ? Hand injury

I do an outdoor fitness class. I fell at it last week and hurt my hand. It wasn't too bad at the time but the next morning when I woke up it was agony and I had to take paracetamol.

As the day went on at work it got better but its been over a week and its still really sore. I have lost strength in it I cant do things like open bottles or carry anything moderately heavy with it.

I'm looking for some wee exercises I can do to help the pain and build strength back up. Any help would be much appreciated 😊😊

Have you had it assessed by a doctor? I would be concerned that it is not functional yet. I think you need to be looked at properly or you could do more harm than good

Mine turned out to be broken and had to be strapped up before specialist physio exercises.

Get it seen to.

I'm sure it's not broken as I have full range of movement and no swelling or bruising. Its just strength and pain thats the issue.

You could have full range of motion and it still be broken, not having strength in the hand is actually more diagnostic of a break than ROM

Really? I always thought if you could touch every finger with your thumb your hand wasn't broken? Is that like an old wives tale or something?

Its not excruciating its more just annoying. And I forget and sometimes will try and do something and it hurts. Like last night I just grabbed a pile of washing without thinking and it was too heavy and had to carry it all lop sided so as to not put too much weight on that hand.

Its not affecting daily life in a significant way its just as I said more annoying than anything else.
