Renew old paper driving licence cost?

Hello my dad has an old paper driving licence and i think it would be more helpful if he got a plastic one . However i cant see how much they cost , does anyone have an idea?

Oh, apologies - I didn't read that properly. Not free, £20

Says £20 on Gov website.
When I did mine I didn't even need a photo as my passport was already digital and they used the same one.

Don't forget the plastic ones have to be renewed regularly whereas a paper one is valid until the holder is 70.
Also if your father has any 'extras' on his license (HGV, B+E, Motorcycle, Tracked Vehicle, Steam Engine etc) that you take a copy of the paper license before surrendering it. Many people have had their 'extra categories' wiped out on the new license!
