Cleaning your house each week and how big is it?

Washing/hanging up clothes to dry?

Cooking/cleaning up?

Random questions but intrigued to know how much time other people spend on home/general stuff?

I do about 1-2 hours cleaning on a Saturday, dusting, hoovering, sweeping, putting things away. It’s a 3 bed house but only me and DP and a dog. So 2 bedrooms stay quite tidy and just need a quick wipe and hoover.

During the week I sweep/hoover downstairs every other day because of the dog hair.

Washing/hanging up clothes to dry? I do 4 washes a week. Takes minutes to separate into darks, lights, colours, bedsheets/towels and shove into the machine. Takes 10minutes to hang out. I don’t iron.

Cooking/cleaning up? Most meals take about 30minutes to cook. 10minutes to wash up (I leave all the dishes/cups from breakfast and do all the washing up in the evening)

I have a cleaner but I do washing ironing every day - probably about 30 mins max on that. I love cooking and now working from home - probably 30 mins to an hour on that a day. I am quite tidy but tidy as I go and DP helps.

3/4 bed over three floors, family of 4.

Laundry every day, if I take a day off, I pay for it trust me. On third load today. 1-3 loads per day. Some of it is ironed.

Cooking every day too... early dinner for kids, then we eat something different later when they're in bed. Between 7-7.30am, I make kids breakfasts and packed lunches.
Occasionally make lunch for dh as he's wfh.

I am a sahm with school age dc, most of the time they're at school, I'm doing chores...so much to do always. House is big but also needs work doing to it and if it's not clean and tidy it looks awful.

My DC are adults now, don’t live at home all the time but have been here during covid. They do their own cooking/washing and some other bits and pieces. So for me it really varies. Some days I just can’t be assed! So I might do nothing all day, bung something in the oven for dinner etc. Other days I have more motivation and might blitz a particular area. My house is quite big (4bed) and it feels like there is always something that needs doing. It never gets into a real state but is never spotless either.
