Awful toothache with bridge.

I knocked my front tooth out when I was young and have a bridge. Now it feels like the supporting tooth is decaying or something as it hurts so much.
I hate going to the dentist but this pain is awful. I’m terrified about what this mean and I’m imagining the worst with it taking ages and having no front tooth! How will I go to work? What’s going to happen?
I hope someone here can tell me.

You know going to the dentist is the only option here. I sympathise though, I spend far longer than is healthy worrying about my teeth.

In terms of that happens next- they may not need to remove the tooth- they may be able to fill it or root canal it. If they have to I imagine they’ll have a temporary solution until a replacement tooth is manufactured, gum has healed etc.

But, first step, dentist appointment. They won’t whip it out (if it even has to come out) there and then, and will be able to give you a treatment plan.

Thank you so much for your message. Just typing it out and your response have been helpful. I’ve made the appointment but my anxiety is really high. So is the pain Sad
