Wet foot in tights is the WORST - an announcement.

SoggyFoot · 11/11/2020 11:30

Cleaning my bin, split some water on the floor and didn’t realise. Stood in said water in tights Angry

Now I’ve got soggy foot tights and there is nothing worse. Every time I move I feel the wet Envy but I’m lazy and WFH so don’t want to change my tights. It’s a predicament.

Thanks for coming to my announcement.

I hate wet foot. This predicament happens to me too much.

Why why why.

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 11/11/2020 11:34

You're not wrong. Wet socks are bad too but much easier to remove.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 11/11/2020 11:36

Wet socks are worse.

Slippers are the solution. 4 teens getting water everywhere is what made the decision for me. I had constant wet feet.

pickingdaisies · 11/11/2020 11:37

Wet foot socks here. (Overenthusiastic swishing of bowl at kitchen sink.) I mean, in theory I could just take them off but then my feet would get cold, or I'd have to go All. The. Way. Upstairs for another pair.
This is a regular occurrence, and there are pairs of abandoned, left-to-dry-out socks all over the place.
Tights, just so much worse, OP. Handhold.

Gwenhwyfar · 11/11/2020 11:37

I agree that wet socks are worse. Your tights will dry quite quickly.

dudsville · 11/11/2020 11:37

You're wfh, you MUST change your tights. The main benefit of wfh is being able to fix clothing mishaps!!!!!!!

malhurst · 11/11/2020 11:38

The very worst is the pissy sock.

I have had this at a friend’s house who was of the SHOES OFF persuasion and yet tolerated the small pool of piss on the floor by the toilet bowl due to incontinent/poorly trained male children, which I duly trod in.

I had bad resentful thoughts of my host throughout the rest of the visit.

SoddingWeddings · 11/11/2020 11:39

Just dry your foot with a towel. Tights dry off really fast.

Themadcatparade · 11/11/2020 11:40

You need to change ASAP, there is nothing worse than this!! Spare your sanity

AlexisIsMySpiritAnimal · 11/11/2020 11:42

Envy at leaving bin juice on your skin!

SoggyFoot · 11/11/2020 11:43

Grin I’m glad some people agree with me and also that most of you are also too lazy to remove a wet sock or tight.

dudsville it seems like such a waste of perfectly good tights. Yes they are wet but they are at home all day, it seems fruitless to change them.

malhurst eww! At least Covid has taken visiting options away from pissy foot friend.

Also, those who think socks are worse are wrong. Socks are much less hassle to remove.

Off to buy some slippers!

Yes I went out in the rain in my non waterproof slippers to put the bin out the other day and had to spend the rest of the day in damp socks as I was too lazy to change them. Solidarity x

BarbaraofSeville · 11/11/2020 11:48

I hate wet foot but its not the worst by a long stretch. Those of a sensitive disposition may wish to look away now...

My cats are well known for bringing in rodents and eating all of them except the last bit that must taste nasty. It is probably something like the liver or lower intestine. On more than one occasion when I'm not paying attention to where I'm going I feel a squelch Envy

GeidiPrimes · 11/11/2020 11:48

Wet, slidey, sandal foot if caught in summer showers is pretty horrible too. Feels like lube in your shoes!

Iwanttogetthisright · 11/11/2020 11:49

This is up here with the wet crotch I get every time I wash dishes Sad

OhMsBeliever · 11/11/2020 11:52

I hate wet foot. Especially when I've just put my socks on and go in the bathroom and discover wet patches by the sink or shower that my children have made (just water, thankfully) I've found wearable socks and now have to go hunting again for more! Curse the wet sock!

Gazelda · 11/11/2020 11:56

How do you get wet crotch? Are you amazingly tall?

Iwanttogetthisright · 11/11/2020 12:36

I’m fairly tall tbh and just very careless when washing dishes it seems Grin

WitchesSpelleas · 11/11/2020 12:39

Nope. Cat puke on tights is worse.

copernicium · 11/11/2020 12:49

@BarbaraofSeville when you do that in the middle of the night, and you haven't turned the light on, so you don't know where to step next...

peaceanddove · 11/11/2020 13:20

I'll see your wet tights and raise you twisted tights. You know, when you're putting them on in a rush and one leg gets twisted. Then you spend all day feeling like one leg is being slowly strangled [shudders]

Northernsoullover · 11/11/2020 13:24

I have an ensuite with a shower which my teens use in the morning. Without fail every day they shower and immediately sprint out without first draining in the cubicle or drying on the bathmat.
Without fail I forget this is their modus operandi and go in to brush my teeth and soak my socks.
I am usually running late at this point and end up going to work with damp socks steaming away in my boots. Its horrible.

Originalyellowbelly · 11/11/2020 13:38

Why are you wearing tights when WFH? Surely pyjamas are the rule!

SoggyFoot · 11/11/2020 18:55

Oh yeah peace twisted tights are up there. But I’d take them over wet soggy foot.

In fact the only benefit I can think of for tights right now is they cover my hairy, winter version of legs.

I tried not getting dressed in the first lockdown, yellowbelly but my mental health took a nose dive. Turns out I’m a person who needs clothes in the day and PJs in the night.

I also wear slippers as l once trod on a large live black slug.

The memory is burnt into my soul🤮
