Bathing my newborn / thrush

Hoping for some advice as I can't find any information!

My baby is 5 weeks old. We might have thrush - the only real symptom is a bit of a white tongue on her. Before I thought we had it, I was putting my breast milk in her baths as I read this was good for their skin. Can I continue to do this or does this risk spreading the thrush elsewhere? My dr wouldn't give me a swab so I'm not sure we actually have it. We've been on the medication for a week and I haven't noticed a difference.

Or at 5 weeks should I just start using some gentle baby wash? I have some lovely organic unperfumed stuff but don't know if it's too early...she has started smelling a bit like sour milk from where she's dribbled (we are topping and tailing at night too).

Thank you!
