Recurring Chest Pain

Has anyone else experienced recurring chest pain?

I've had it on and off for months.

It only hurts when I lie down, just getting really fed up of it now as I am exhausted.

If it happens when you lie down could it be reflux , gerd?
Have you tried some gaviscon or the like before you lie down ?

Could it also be trapped wind ?
I've had that in my chest area and my God I thought I was having a heart attack then did a lot of almighty burps Tmi sorry . Bit it got rid if it.
Maybe book an appt for the gp just to get it looked at

Thanks! I literally just took some gaviscon after reading your post so I will see if that helps.

Should say I have a GP appointment tomorrow - I have been in hospital to rule out a blood clot (had the blood thinning injections)

Just want to know what the GP may be trying to rule in / rule out so I can write notes to take in with me to the appointment more useful.

Not sure - maybe? It's on the left side which is making me nervous it's related to my heart, and on the back mostly (both sides on the back).

Hope so fingers crossed for you op .
It's awful that kind of thing , if it helps somewhat but doesnt go completely get it looked at and you might need something stronger maybe . Good luck

Oh shit that's not good is it .
At least you're being checked out .
I've also had really bad anemia and low vit d and very low folic acid levels and that caused all types of pain I wouldn't even think to have put the 2 together. I'm on iron and folate now but if I have a very heavy period i get chest pain.

Chest pain from anemia that was meant say .

Interesting, this has all started about a month after I went pseudo-vegan and have not eaten that much red meat! I will ask my GP about this, thanks.

Def get full blood count done
It will flag up any deficiencies you may have and I honestly wouldn't have thought it would cause symptoms and pains that I had . Def push for it

Inthesameboatatmo · 10/11/2020 19:46

Def ask for a full blood count it will check everything, I honestly never thought deficiencies could cause pain like I had . I had ecg and every other test known to man and that what's was causing it .

Inthesameboatatmo · 10/11/2020 19:52

Also ask for rheumatoid arthritis check for the protein in the bloods .
That came back positive for me as well so that was also causing some of the pain but not all . I had the levels of an 80 year old, but as I've not had am active flair up yet the wont put me in meds .
Are just taking a watch and wait approach.
