Zanussi oven - lost the manual

I got a new kitchen a d I have a brand new double oven.

I've lost the instructions and I can't find the paperwork so I don't know what model it is. Can anyone tell me what the symbols mean in this please?

I'm guessing the top two in the left are for the grill but the others with a top line, a bottom line and then both lines?

Does that mean just heat from the top, just her from the bottom and heat from both?

Why would you want just heat from the bottom or top?

Thanks for any advice I've got a shepherds pie in the oven right now I've set to the one with top and bottom lines but I don't want to fuck it up nor sit looking at it through the glass Blush

We lost our instructions and found it in PDF form on line. Could you do the same?

Could it be that two lines mean that both ovens are on, the one line at the top, the top one and the one line at the bottom the bottom one? Do you have 2 dials for the temperature so that you can set each oven at a different temperature?

In most ovens, those icons reference the heating elements in the oven. So, I presume you have top and bottom elements in at least the "main" oven? Best bet is to Google it, and look at the online instructions for the one that looks like yours.

Thanks I don't know what model it is but I have two identical dial things for both ovens.

I will have to go in the cupboard of fucking doom tomorrow and look for it.

Can't wait! It has to be done though I am guessing on the job also.

I've a dishwasher I'm too scared to use. I've never had one!

Yes - the flat line refers to where the heat is coming from, so you have the option of top only, bottom only or both together.
The wiggly line is the grill - so you have grill element alone, and grill element assisted by oven element. I have a Zanussi and this is what these ones mean. Why you'd want just top or just bottom oven heats I don't know.

The model number should normally be on a stick inside the oven or grill door.

There is a link to the manual for a Zanussi double ovens for you scroll down this page, @nancybotwinbloom. Even if it isn’t exactly the same model, the symbols should be the same.

That double line icon is the main oven without the fan being used

I'm weirdly good at finding user manual for things with very little information.

I think this is probably yours. Scroll down for manual www.zanussi.co.uk/kitchen/cooking/ovens/oven/zod35660xk2/

I think some foods, such as pizza, cook better with just top or bottom heat. I have no idea which foods prefer which though.
