What would be your ideal foreign holiday and U.K. holiday? (If there was no Covid)

If there was no Covid where would you or were you going on holiday?

Bonus points if you say where you'd go with a 3 year old and 1 year old.

I’m dying to go back to Norway. No reason you couldn’t go there with littlies; it’s expensive but not too bad if you stay in AirBnBs and self cater.

In the U.K., I quite fancy the Lake District. I haven’t been there since I was a child.

In the UK favourite places are Bath and Devon - both might work with a 3 and 1 year old. Bath is lovely to potter around and we always go to Longleat and Cheddar Gorge and Wookie Hole. Devon - we did north Devon this summer, lots of nice boat trips (can see lovely coast and dolphins in the summer), stayed at a castle with a swimming pool, walked llamas across Dartmoor, went gorging etc. With a 3 and 1 year old I would maybe do somewhere like a farm stay like Puddleduck Valley, not been but excellent reviews, would go in the better weather.

Abroad loved our trips with wildlife - brown bears in Finland in summer, Costa Rica and Queensland Australia and penguins by Cape Town. We were due to go to Borneo this summer and had to cancel but would love to go there. Lapland is amazing in winter once youngest is 5. Not sure where I would go with a 3 and 1 year old, probably shorthaul and somewhere easy - we did Sweden and Copenhagen around then which was nice and Maderia which was also nice and another year to Italy - Italy has so many lovely places and they love kids, would maybe go for Italy in September or June, just out of peak season. Maybe Amalfi Coast but lots of Italy is lovely. Loved Venice, Rome, Taormina in Sicily, Amalfi Coast.

Dorset is my favourite county for a UK holiday. Loads to do there for little kids too like the beaches, Monkey World, scenic walks, aquarium etc. West Bay/Lyme Regis are nice areas to stay as they border Devon so can go there too.

Abroad I love Canada and Japan if going long haul. Short haul I love Menorca. It’s the most peaceful of the Balearic Islands with stunning beaches and all very family friendly everywhere. Short flight too

Making me want to go away so much. Complete first world problems but really missed holidays this year!

Went to Rome when oldest was 1 1/2 ish. We didn't really enjoy it, was so expensive and didn't find the Romans friendly at all. Was so disappointed! But maybe we weren't in the right mindset at the time.

Would love to go skiing but will wait until kids are older.

Not sure about Russia, safety wise! But maybe that's a bit ignorant of me.

I adore Edinburgh, haven't been with the kids though, think there might not be much for them to do.

Devon/Dorset 😍

My plan for 2020 was a trip to Slovenia and Croatia, travelling by train and going walking. No kids involved here though!

Our favourite place when they were toddlers was the Balearics, especially Cala Galdana In Menorca, where the water is really shallow and calm.

In this country I think my favourite place has been Northumberland, around Alnmouth. Very clean beaches.

We didn't enjoy Rome either. Went there as a couple, it was hot, full of people and expensive.

The reason I'm not going to Russia is because I'm scared of the people. :-) But it's beautiful, I'd love to see it.
