Cleaner etiquette

Hi,

I’ve got a cleaner coming for the first time tomorrow, can anyone give me any tips/ advice on the best etiquette?

How much should I clean/ tidy before she comes? A lot of the rooms have stuff on shelves etc, presume that’s ok?

Is there anything I can do to make things easier for her? I’m, unfortunately going to have to be here working so will do my best to get out of her way. Plan was to let her in, have a chat and then bigger off to a coffee shop to work so I wasn’t in her way.

Thanks!

Best to be there the first time so you can point things out specifically.

Tidy clutter, fold/put away clothes on chairs etc (otherwise they spend time doing it). I also put dishes in the dishwasher/wash any I'll need later but I know lots of cleaners stack dishwashers or wash up too. Put away clothes drying racks etc.

Personally I make sure the toilet bowls are not left disgusting

Thanks @AndromedaDud! That’s really helpful.

(And apologies for the typos in my first post....)
