Normal after miscarriage? Worried

Had a very early miscarriage and needed medical management. I’ve had two scans since then and four periods as normal. But my breasts have stayed bigger and more tender than they ever were. Seem to get worse before my period but generally are bigger all the time, at least a cup size.

Before this my breasts were very small, just about a B size, if that. I often didn’t wear a bra.

Why has this happened? I was less than 2 months so it’s not like I was at a stage where they should have been huge. I’m worried and sad that they haven’t gone back down. Does anyone know why? Doctors are totally uninterested and just say it’s fine.

I haven't had this experience personally (but I had also had a baby before I had my mc, so nothing was really the same size anymore...). I wouldn't think it was anything sinister, assuming all else is fine, normal periods, no signs of infection, etc. Is there any chance you have gained weight? It could also just be some sort of hormonal change, which is harmless, but noticeable.

I’m worried it means infertility. What if my body thinks I’m pregnsnt when I’m not? I also hate the reminder x

Hi,

Sorry about your miscarriage, I have had a few over the years. It can take a while for your hormones to get back to normal. Your body starts preparing itself for pregnancy, you could still have a fair level of HCG. My consultant once told me it can take a year for your body to get back to normal, just like if you had a normal pregnancy

I feel so sad about it. I have done a pregnancy test and negative. I have had scans and no evidence of anything wrong. Do I need blood tests or something?! I hate that they are bigger, it is like a constant reminder. Maybe they look bigger in general as they’ve always been tiny.
