For a 18 month old
First doll and pram for Christmas and I'm getting the doll. I was thinking of a soft one but not sure what to get. I like the dinkum dolls but they are too expensive for a doll for me.
Can anyone recommend anything?

The Goetz little muffin range is lovely. You can get them with or without hair.

I got a nice crocheted one from etsy this year. The exact one I bought isn't available any more but they had lots of other nice ones on there as well last I looked. Also the bigjig dolls are sweet. They don't look like babies but they can have different outfits bought for them which is fun.

Depending on your budget you could try joining the fb group "black owned economy" and asking in there. I've seen a few ads in there for beautiful handmade dolls which are customised to your child's skin/eye/ hair colour, hair type etc. They're lovely, just out of my price range (around the £50 mark).

I was looking for something with a soft head. Something like this (but cheaper)

Cath Kidston rag dolls are perfect for little ones and very durable - I paid about £15 for my DDs last one

Tiny treasures at Argos are soft bodies but not soft heads but Dts absolutely loved them and they're durable.
