When did you lose your baby weight?

My DS as born three months ago and I feel huge! I need to lose 14kg. Any tips on what to do to lose weight? I still don't feel physically ready to start running (vaginal delivery and sometimes feel some pressure) and worried about diastasis recti. I mix feed so considering fasting but dont was to lose weight too quickly as I don't want saggy skin. Already was quite big this time round (this was my second baby).

DM has been pressuring me to lose weight (apparently I need to be 'half' of what I am now) and keeps going on about how I wasn't this big when I gave birth to DD two years ago. Tbh it's making me feel down about myself. Part of me feels like I just gave birth so need to heal and shouldn't be worrying so much but then these comments and not fitting into clothes and with the gyms closed I don't know what to do!

Honestly it's so easy to say, oh you've just had a baby, concentrate on that, it's fine if you're bigger etc etc but I know exactly how you feel. I had to lose the weight, fast!

I lost weight after both mine through diet - specifically low carbing. Lost it quicker with DS as also walked loads with him in the pram - DD hated the pram so weight loss took longer.

Just take care of yourself and your baby don't worry about your weight just yet. Enjoy your baby and child. That's what you are supposed to do. Ignore your DM my goodness she must have forgotten what it's like to have young children.

Thank you. I do try go for walks. DD just turned two and it's not always easy going out with them by myself. I do try to stay positive but it can be hard when you look in the mirror and when you take pictures and you have a double chin Sad

Walking with the pram each day without fail unless it’s icy outside.

Honestly don’t worry! With my first I lost the weight easily , with my second 10+ years later I still carry a it a little :) I found it a lot harder the 2nd time around and got very stressed at first that I wasn’t loosing the weight. But I eventually realised it didn’t matter with two children I was happy just to have a shower at times.

I’m 8 months on and am a little bit heavier than before but more toned. I breastfed which I think helps, but I also walked every day without fail and did some light stomach exercises
