What 40th birthday present would you buy yourself?

It's my 40th birthday soon. Before the pandemic, I was looking forward to planning a very nice holiday. That obviously fell through. Then I thought I'd just go out for a nice meal with DH. Now I can't do that because of lockdown. So what birthday present can I buy myself to help cheer me up?!

(I know there are many people who have worse problems This is a light hearted post.)

I buy myself a birthday present every year. Something slightly extravagant, depending on my budget which fluctuates yearly. One year I bought myself a gorgeous camel Karen Millen coat, I get a happy feeling whenever I wear it. Another year a beautiful piece of jewellery. I only started a few years after I turned 40, but now I do it every year and I wish I had started sooner 😊

For my 40th I got a watch. H bought himself a guitar on his. It’s personal really, isn’t there something you’d really like?

My main ‘treat myself’ indulgence are theatre or gig tickets. Usually buy them and tell dh later (much later!).

I also got a watch for my 40th. I absolutely love it, obviously look at it multiple times a day and it makes me happy.

I’m hoping for a diamond solitaire necklace for mine.

I also want to enter a big running event but appreciate that might not be everyone’s idea of a treat!

I’d buy some jewellery from Georg Jensen. Probably a bangle and matching necklace and pendant.

I bought myself a new Fitbit and new ChuckTaylors.

I bought myself a Barbour jacket for my birthday this year. It wasn’t a special birthday, I just really wanted one and didn’t want to ask dh to get it - it seems pointless as an adult asking for a specific birthday present!!
Last year I bought myself an Apple Watch.
I just get myself what I want.
