Mr FB had to have a litre of saline solution flushed through his eye (and something else done that I can’t disclose because if it has the same effect on you reading it as it had in me hearing they were going to do it I will induce mass nausea). The doctors and nurses were very impressed by his stoicism. Apparently they have to have the saline flush thing done in training and, unlike DH, none of them managed to cope with the whole litre in one go. One said he ‘cried like a baby’ when they were doing it to him. Luckily I could invoke my carer status so at least DH could do a lot of hand squeezing rather than being on his own. It was freezing last night and I felt so sorry for the tiny frail old man who was having to wait outside in a very thinlooking jacket while his wife was having treatment.

Anyway, Mr FB looking like a much happier person today

Correct with Doctors orders . Google tells me it was by Carol Douglas although memory tells me it was someone called Sunny. Perhaps there's more than one version
