Correct FlouncerInDenial 😂
Music certainly does help when times are tough!

FlouncingBabooshka · 12/11/2020 17:50

@Honeyroar

My outstanding ones...

Boys. Are you contemplating moving out somewhere?
Boys. Will you ever find the time?
(80s)

Do you still remember
How it used to be?
Feeling together, believing whatever
My love had said to me
(90s)

And I don’t want to see Needtoknow guessing them wrong to get herself a trophy!

The first one is Japan, Quiet Life.

Sorry, I am being so rubbish and not posting anything at the moment. Will try to post some this evening.

Honeyroar · 12/11/2020 17:59

Correct @FlouncingBabooshka✅
Don’t worry about not posting- it’s only a game, we’ve all been awol sometimes. Hope you’re ok.x

I went to a Japan gig in 1981 with my best male school friend. We were New Romantics (only after school and at weekends Grin). I had peacock feathers I’m my hair and wore a full length hobble skirt with stilettos so could only take very tiny steps, very slowly. He wore a shocking pink suit and a full face of make-up. He informed me if we encountered a gang of skinheads he would have to run for it and abandon me ‘but don’t worry Babooshka, I’m sure they won’t beat up a girl’. Hmm

FlouncingBabooshka · 12/11/2020 18:07

in my hair

FlouncerInDenial · 12/11/2020 18:34

There's a reason he was just a friend, eh! 🦚

FlouncerInDenial · 12/11/2020 18:35

Yes, flea, music always helps.

And all you guys, of course 😘💕💕💕

Honeyroar · 12/11/2020 21:01

I think we need a picture Baboishka!

shinynewapple2020 · 12/11/2020 21:05

Flouncer my DS is also 19. I remember these lines of a song often played on the radio when I was feeding in the night

Close your eyes so you don't feel them
They don't need to see you cry

2001

Iggi999 · 12/11/2020 21:07

That has an air of a Pet Shop Boys song. Btw I'm trying for the 'most guessed wrong' award
Yep still a contender, it's not the PSB - though it is a spoken word bit so not dissimilar to West end girls. I'll add some more:
Tea, girls, warm, sweet
Some are set up in the Somerset Maugham suite
Get thai'd, you're talking to a tourist
Whose every move's among the purest
I get my kicks above the waistline, sunshine

Is that robbie Williams, shiny? 🤢
FlouncerInDenial · 12/11/2020 21:20

Iggi,I can't remember who sang it, but is it one night in Bangkok?

I think it was from the musical chess, which I've never seen, but I used to like that song

midgebabe · 12/11/2020 21:21

One night in Bangkok ?????

midgebabe · 12/11/2020 21:21

Flouncer you popped me!!!

Iggi999 · 12/11/2020 21:21

Yes Flouncer, well done.
The band/singer was Murrayhead.
I have never seen Chess, and yet knew lots of songs from it.

midgebabe · 12/11/2020 21:21

Pipped that should say.

shinynewapple2020 · 12/11/2020 21:23

It is Robbie Williams @FlouncerInDenial it's called Eternity. Don't think I've heard it since , I just remember the lines about closing eyes and not crying !

FlouncerInDenial · 12/11/2020 21:39

Popped and pipped, midge.

I'm not a big fan of robbie Williams, shiny, but his stuff does seem to seep into your consciousness, doesn't it

FlouncerInDenial · 12/11/2020 21:42

For iggi:

No one in your life is with you constantly

(Obviously written before bloomin' lockdown!)

midgebabe · 12/11/2020 21:48

@FlouncerInDenial

For iggi:

No one in your life is with you constantly

(Obviously written before bloomin' lockdown!)

Does that mean we can't answer it?
Iggi999 · 12/11/2020 22:06

I know him so well, Babs and Elaine

Honeyroar · 12/11/2020 22:09
FlouncerInDenial · 12/11/2020 22:57

Tosses a pity point midge's way, with a half point to honey for helping pick up a fallen player.

Um. Yes, iggi. Well done. I think that's the only other song I know from chess.
Perhaps that's lucky, eh.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 12/11/2020 23:45

All 90s

But there's no, no real truce with my fury
You don't have to believe me
I love you all the same

If you, if you could return
Don't let it burn
Don't let it fade
I'm sure I'm not being rude
But it's just your attitude

Dressed up to the eyes
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
