For the little one who has been with us for almost a year, this week marks their first birthday and it also marks the week where we start preparing to move the little one on to adoption.

We are very lucky to have had their first Christmas, seen their first smile and heard their first laugh, we saw them sit and roll, crawl and even walk but by Christmas Day our little one will be with their new mummy and daddy.

When they move on a bit of my heart will go with them.

Oh wow. Bittersweet or what. That piece of your heart you send and the love it gave will stay with the child always. Big un-mumnetty hugs!

Aah, you're doing something so lovely there. ❤️ A relative of mine is a FP and I'm in awe of you all. 🙂

You've done an amazing thing OP.

Just remember that they will carry the love, patience, kindness, warmth and cuddles you have shown them in thier infancy throughout thier entire life and you have set them up on a platform of compassion, reliability, nutrition and happiness. You have done that OP.

How lovely OP.
We go to panel this month for fostering and I'm very excited and nervous about the future.

I also saw your other post the other day and I'm pleased you have nice events like a 1st birthday to get involved in and enjoy.

Thank you, today we spoke to our first little person that we moved on to their new forever family in the summer. It was amazing to see how confident and happy they are now and to think that we played our part in the huge changes that little person has undergone.

Being able to stay involved is wonderful for everyone involved I think.

Good luck with panel! It is nowhere near as scary as I thought it would be, our panel were absolutely lovely and very encouraging. Fostering is very hard at times but the rewards are huge.
